Home hi fi.

Don’t know what the latest is, but it used to be oxygen free copper cables. For those who believe it makes the sound better, PM me I have some magic beans for sale.

If you measure it, does it make a difference ? Yes the very highest quality cable with high purity will have better conductivity. Can you perceive a difference at the speakers absolutely not.

Cross sectional area does make a difference, due to skin effect, but only at higher frequencies and again the acoustics of the room and the speaker placement will have a larger effect.
The best snake oil audio thing was that lump of rock some company tried to sell for thousands claiming it changed the vibrations of the room to improve audio quality because.....reasons....

Funny as fuck.

For your entertainment I give you this lunatic who has made a living conning the gullible.
As a taster these are his free improvements!
The man is Peter Belt.

Ha ha, the guys stuck on stupid, needs to switch professions n become a full time comedian.

...somewhere in Daftsville, Gullibleshire, some bod is cutting up paper, pinning curtains back n fuckin about with freezer bags n wot not.

My Cyrus CD player has given up the ghost. I can’t afford to replace it with another Cyrus, and not sure that I want to as this is the second unit that has failed. Does anyone have any experience of the Marantz CD6007 unit?

I've just bought a Bose 900 Atmos sound bar. I listened to it in Curry's and was impressed. Ordered from Bose as they allow 90 day return and £200 off for a refurbed model. looking forward to it arriving.
6 week update on using the Bose900. I'm very happy with it. No need for a sub in our room as the bass is pretty punchy anyway. It won't be going back to Bose, but the price even for a refurb has gone up by £180. I'm really pleased I got it at £650.
