Hong Kong and Security Law

I am waiting to see if Farage is in his wellies stood on the white cliffs, shouting "go home" at errant folk with slightly slanted eyes whilst hundreds of DFLA protect the land of Churchill by singing no surrender to the Hong Kong Invaders who want to turn us all into Confuscianists and turn our good old English chippys into Chinese takeaways. Hong Kongians coming over here stealing our jobs, teaching us Kung Fu and living on benefits with 50 foot wide tellys and a free 4X4 in the drive way of their free £1million pound mansion.
You forgot to mention him blaming them for Coronavirus or Kung Flu as he’ll call it.

I had two thoughts when I heard this. One was at least for once it looks like we will be prepared to do the right thing and two I had a feeling this will boil some Brexit piss.

I think this is an awful signal to send out the day after we voted to end free movement ;)

Glad they've been offered citizenship here, it's the right thing to do and I hope the people of Hong Kong will be accepted here. I hope someone steps in and helps the rest of the citizens (3 - 4 million) that want freedom, the majority of them are young as they don't qualify for citizenship.

All the biggest democratic nations should be stepping in to help Hong Kong though, democracy should always be protected.

Agree there should be a collective effort. Taiwan has already announced a dept to facilitate people who wish to leave. Australia I understand have indicated willingness.

An excellent decision by the UK Govt. Not often I get to say that.

Agreed with that, a rare win for the Govt assuming the process goes okay. I assume Taiwan and Australia will get involved as well.

China have broken the handover agreement though, they should leave Hong Kong.
