Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

Can you imagine if we sang that today? Lyrics are priceless LOL

Yes. Loads of songs about violence back then. With a few minutes to go before the end of the game to the away fans, "It's time for you to run, it's time for you to run, it's time for you to run.....so fuck off!"
Also, "You'll never make the station!"
The famous, "You're going home in a fucking ambulance!"
Then there was the we are evil chant. Also, "You're going to die, you're going to fucking die" repeated a few times. Happy days lol.

I remember the home leg of the Cup Winners Cup semi-final - guess it must have been 1971. I think we lost both legs 0-1 with Osgood scoring.

There was murders going on with groups of fans fighting all along the road back towards Piccadilly - different times

Yes we had all our main players injured or we would have beaten them. Lost 2-0 on aggregate. Mayhem all game in the Kippax, scraps everywhere. Chelsea mainly in the scoreboard singing that "Na na na Chelsea FC" song.

Most reckoned there were about 10.000 for the FA Cup & about 15.000 for the European game
City were all over the place
Hard to put a precise number as it was pay cash to get in
Were you at Newcastle 1968 Don ?
As I know that was a huge turnout to see us win the title.
