Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

My mate’s a Newcastle fan and I met him after a game in 2002. He came out of the North Stand away end and he wouldn’t say a word until we got back into The Gardners as he ran the gauntlet of City’s mob waiting for the Geordies.
Sounds like a sensible lad.

Walking through the other teams mob can get the old arse twitching.

The worst I saw around Claremont Road was Birmingham in 96. I also remember as a kid a night match when we played Millwall and there was a full scale carnage in the estate we lived behind the Beehive pub where all the streets are named after pre war City players.

The worst away was Ninian Park in the FA Cup. Mental afterwards by the car garages and that junction.

Did this one time at Sunderland in the early 80s. Drew 0-0, kept in the ground for ages, could see the police trying to move Sunderland away from our exits eventually they moved them on. Once outside I lost my mates in the crowd, most headed to the station and coaches, I had to keep walking straight ahead towards the docks, turned a corner and a couple of hundred Mackems walking towards me, I walked across the road hoping they hadn't seen me cross, next thing they all crossed to.my side, I was absolutely bricking it at this point. I had to either cross again, or walk through them, I decided to cross, they all passed me without doing or saying anything. I know a few of them must have seen me cross twice, but left me alone. Always liked them after that. If they had been rags or scouse, I have no doubt I would have taken a real beating.

Yep. Fucking hell I’m getting confused by who’s posted to what!!!! Thought you were referring to the Leicester game!!!
All on that "back to the big time " VHS with Brian Clarke commentary

"High wide and handsome"

" And he'll be happy with that"

A young Carl Griffiths scoring at MR 5 years before we signed him

Love that VHS wore it out as a kid
