Hopes for the rest of the season

to win every game until the end of the season, 16 games in the prem, 1 in the league cup , 7 in the champs league and how many in the fa cup , not asking too much is it .

Thought I’d bump this...

What do we reckon this season?

- 5pts clear at the top of the league with a game in hand and the only team I feel capable of mounting a challenge is effectively out of the picture

- League Cup Final v Spurs

- 1 game away from the FA Cup quarters

- 1 tie away from the CL quarters

I won’t mention the Q word but we have a very strong chance of doing another domestic treble this season, I feel

The league is the most important title for us this season and I’d be extremely disappointed if we didn’t win it from here.

The league Cup final is a one off game where anything can happen but our recent record at Wembley has been fantastic. Wigan seems a fairly distant memory now and can’t see us tasting defeat in this final either.

The FA Cup is 4 games from being won and there isn’t a team in the country who I would back to beat us at the moment, given our form, strength in depth and key players due to come back.

The CL is a free hit for me. I’d be ecstatic if we won but there are too many factors outside of our control which play a part. It’s inevitable that even if we won another domestic treble we would still be hit with the “not won the CL stick”

Of course winning the league will always be the main trophy for most football fans but we have to win the CL at some point just to cement our place in history. The players deserve it. Beating the crooks of Bayern in the final would be nice.

Hope is very different to what will likely happen obviously, but what I find a bit mad is that (imo) we've had better sets of players in the squads before, yet this squad, I believe to be the most capable of winning the lot.

(Personally think we'll win the League and League Cup though).

Amazingly, from a few weeks ago, City look like the league is w .. - like they might finish in the top one.
Harry Kane stands in the way of the Carabao Cup, him and Leicester or an unlucky bounce in the way of the F.A. Cup.

But it's got to be the C.L. above all. Pep wants it the most, the owners want it the most, and it's time to reward them for all they've done for MCFC by giving them what they've wanted from the start.

Yep.

That 2017/18 side with a front 3 of sane, Aguero, Sterling along with Kev, dave, Fern in the middle is still the best city side I’ve ever witnessed.

Our core is still very much the same but now the likes of Dias, Cancelo, Foden, Rodri are in the mix and it feels like our balance of defence and attack is perfect at the moment

Then send the runners up in our place (Leicester).
