Hostage situation in Sydney

Put your kids or parents in there with the threat of being killed, possibly beheaded, and you still want to have a nice chat with them?
Bollocks.
How about you put yours in there, and then suggest going in gung ho ? I doubt you'd be so keen then. If they've already killed people, going in gung ho isn't exactly going to help anyone else.

Nothing to do with the cafe being across the road from channel 7 news then right?

There's no negotiating with these fuckers, history had taught us that.

Calm down, Rambo. The fact that they want publicity and not just started killing randoms means there is a chance of negotiating. Going gung-ho may work, and it may not with hostage casualties. This is real life not a bleeding FPS computer game.

Give over, just because I said take out the perpetrators? Don't be soft.

No, because you are being a naive armchair general with a happy trigger finger. Calm down FFS!

There are hostages at stake here. The hostage taker has one in front of him all times. Not to mention the possibility of a remote controlled device that may trigger a bomb by another conspirator well hidden away. You don't have all the info yet. It's all well and good to shout yippee ka yay and say let's go all guns blazing when not in the middle of this. But this is the real world and hostages matter. Seriously, just calm down.

One thing we know with these Islamic c**ts is they don't want anything other than media exposure before they start cutting heads off. So they may aswell just storm the place and start blowing heads off before the fuckers start chopping. Must be access from roof or upper floor, creep in and kill the fuckers..actually drag them out and string them up by their balls.
No doubt we'll have leftist on saying we should wait and maybe bring in someone with a fishing rod and a bucket of chicken to talk it out with them
Have you been a negotiator for long?

Leftist for not wanting to risk 40 hostages straight away. K.
Who's to say they are not stalling while they chop heads in the back room. In recent years when it comes to Muslim terrorist situations it's never been about making demands and coming to a peaceful resolution. So why treat it as regular hostage protocol

You have a point there. So far we have only seen one Muslim and it appears that he doesn`t give a shit that he can be seen by the window. Its as if he`s saying to the forces "want to take me out with a hail of bullets, then you don`t know who or how many supporters I have with me".

A moderate Muslim that believes only some of the Quran so that he seems acceptable to non-Muslims then. But that's another thread starter though.
"The Muslim community are appalled that someone would do this in the name of our religion", They are never so appalled that they go out and protest against the fanatics killing in their religions name do they...so how appalled are they?
Not that appalled are they? I don't get why we pander to people who believe in such religious crap.

Same old usual anti muslim ignorance being troted out I see

You seem to think I'm raging, I don't know where you get that opinion from. All I said was I THINK they shouldn't mess about and take out those responsible at the first opportunity.
You don't. Fair enough.
I know it's the real world do you really think I'm actually thinking this should play out like a game or a movie?
Give your head a wobble.

If I'm mistaken then I'm sorry. But you seem to think its a straight forward situation. Simple as just putting a bullet though the head with no chance of hostages getting involved. First of all you don't have all the info. Situation like this with unknown number of perpetrators, surrounded by hostages in confined building is rarely that simple. Misfire, hostage getting in the line of fire are very much big possibilities.

Not to mention a bomb that can be remotely detonated. If it comes to it that negotiation and publicity isn't enough, then storming the building or sniper shots would be last resorts. But now let's see what other options are available first. There are so many variables involved here that it's prudent to be cautious. Anyway, I'm done with this argument. Everyone trying to be armchair general including me. Just hope they deal with this appropriately and hostages are unhurt.

The frustrating thing is that all this lot were in the same place at the same time and nothing was done. Should have been dealt with then and there. (Sydney, 2012)

Religion is a privilege not a fooking right, extremism and terrorism has no place in our society, especially since the US stopped sponsoring it.
I see the National Front days, rivers of blood, Enoch Powell days returning. No I'm not a storyteller/prophet.
