5 hostages escaped so far. Police in touch with gunman. Hopefully this can be resolved. Apparently not ISIS but another fraction of Islam extremism. Either way, they all want shooting...the sooner the better.

I used to catch the train home from the city every afternoon. Glad I don't work in Sydney any more. Sydney traffic and public transport are terrible at the best of times. It will be a nightmare getting home tonight.

And once again, white Australians as a whole will be made to look like the villains...not the Muslims kidknapping, threatening to behead innocents and bashing lifeguards. Not condoning any violence towards innocent Muslims but they don't help themselves. Unfortunately it doesn't take much to trigger something when there is already ignorance, boredom and racial tension present.
