House Of The Dragon (GOT Prequel)

Think i'm the same as you mate. I did find that Walking Dead also had a point where it became absolutely shite, can't even remember when i stopped watching or how long its been because every episode just became the same as the last one.
I was pissed off for about five days after watching the final GOT episode. I just couldn’t believe that’s how it ended, it was a disgrace to GRRM’s vision.

I wasn’t even pissed off with Pep for five days after the CL final, haha

I get pissed of whenever anyone mentions GoT now tbh. My missus wants to watch it as she's never seen it, and i know there's so much good stuff in the series but ultimately i can't put her through that last series.

They have the repeats running constantly on sky and i'll always pop them on if i've nothing else to watch and still enjoy them. However if the planner shows its the last series i always just find something else to watch as i know it'll piss me off watching them.

I've really enjoyed episode one, Matt Smith and Paddy Considine are great with real presence, thought Rhys Ifans was really subtle which was nice. The girls who play the young princesses are good too.

Not read or anticipated the build up to this series so probably found it more enjoyable. Last season of GoT is still bloody irritating. Also really enjoyed the companion show enter the house of the dragon with Sue Perkins, good fun.

I chose this over the Ryanair derby last night, I chose....well ;-)))

Think the advantage this has is George RR Martin’s involvement and his pick of show runner, GOT declined the more it got away from his dialogue and plot pacing. The last couple of series of I think really could have worked had they made it at least a series longer and not cheapened the dialogue so much. The character arcs all made sense.

Why mate? Genuine question, but what’s the big issue with the ending?
I’ve seen references to not keeping to the author’s vision and so on, but didn’t they veer away from the books after series 4 or something anyway?
Is it just because it was ‘rushed’ / ‘left too many loose ends’ or was there more than this, that caused so many fans to dislike it?
