Not arsed if he comes or not as we have plenty in that position already, only posting the arsenal story so this thread can now slowly die as should the messi one as they ain't coming.

Thought we might have been in for him in view of Pep's comments about him, but perhaps the effects of covid , loss of revenues etc are the reason .

Prefer he didn't go to Arsenal , but we can't sign everybody.
 
Rumours about Lyon ready to accept much lower fees around 40-45m euros due to Covid.
We could not get any midfielder from Burnley, or Sheffield for 35m pounds if we wanted.
 
Thought this was unlikely with Fernandinho staying and Gundogan not being sold as pep likes him despite lack of pace and being older than other midfielders and not really fitting in as an 8 or 6 but was then convinced it would happen by ITK media links and comments by Pep and DeBruyne but we are going to have to buy next summer when we will probably loose both so who is the next big thing ?
 


Transfers: Houssem Aouar (OL) in agreement with Arsenal -@OL : there will be very few starts: for Houssem Arsenal is too far from his value: we are counting on him to play a great match in Lorient and lead OL in CL next year

They may well be priced out when it comes down paying what it will take to get him. He will have admirers in better options that the current Arsenal squad imo.

I certainly don't weant him to go there.
 
I really hope with the signing of Dias, we're back in for Aouar. Would make this a fairly positive window if we're able to pull it off, and would give us that midfield coverage which I think we're sacrificing in essentially swapping Silva for another CB...

Can’t see it but aaour is the player we need in midfield
I think If Dias is sorted tomorrow there will definitely be one more surprise
 
Arsenal clearly negioating for him. Lyon want €60m and Arsenal don’t want to pay that.

We should just hijack the deal and pay the asking price instead of let him go to Arsenal and watch him become a £100m player after a season or two.

Not sure how Arsenal have the audacity to bid for anyone after pleading poverty and making many of their staff redundant- I notice no one in the media has thought to ask them about their rank hypocrisy... football royalty my fucking arse.
