How are we all feeling about our club today?

Another good example of supporting the club but not the ownership. Like you point out, We have been here before.
The owner of the club is one of us, PJ Swales was one of us, but unfortunately a wan%er of the highest order.

The owner goes with the club, HRH is beyond doubt the finest owner in world football and probably the best owner football has ever seen.

He messed up, but don't we all? Admitting the mistake is a credit to him and the club.

I've been reminded that every fucker is out to get us.

I hope and trust they will do everything to make sure that doesn't happen and we carry on along the same path.
So why did we think that clubs who'd happily destroy us were suddenly our best friends and seemingly happy to throw money at us?

If you have neighbours who've been utter arseholes for years and made your life a misery, if they suddenly knocked on and invited you to a barbecue, wouldn't you be a little suspicious and wary?

I’d suspect it’s because they had run out of charcoal and couldn’t have the barbecue unless we lent them some of ours.

Were you calling our owners "shit" when they spent over a billion quid into your team, enabling it to win everything for a decade?

No you fucking weren't. You were quite happy like the rest of us to suckle on Sheikh Mansour's teat in return for glory. He might just argue that turning on him for having the temerity to perhaps want a bit of that money back makes you the greedy one, not him. It was always an investment and he never claimed it was a gift.
I said 'it's shit' if you read carefully (which it is ). I won't pretend this was some grand manoeuvre by our club to out the cartel, unlike some desperate people on here. We were between a rock and a hard place but we made the wrong choice. So it is shit. The secret none consultation approach was also shit. The apologies were shit. Pep was great. The players were great. We were great (1 in 20 City fans supported the ESL, 1 in 4 United fans.)

Is the “Thank you sheik mansour” Banner still up?

Should probably take that down till he signs at least Haaland and Messi.

That's a funny post but it sadly sums up the situation.

The other irony here is that we've been told for ten years by everyone in football that our club has an unfair advantage because we have a rich man spending his money on us.

Then in the blink of an eye he becomes an evil greedy bastard who only wants to make money from football.

He can only be one.

I agree with most of that but unlike many I sympathise with the club's predicament and still think we have the best owners in world football.

An unintended consequence of this debacle is that "ickle City" is globally acknowledged as a "big club".
