How can people still be negative about mancini?

It is the mark of a mature human being to be able to admit (even to some small extent) that you were not 100% correct in your opinion. It is the sign of a pig headed, immature person that is so stayed in his or her opinion that they are blind to the facts and other opinions.

Bet you nearly choked on your spittle typing that. Begrudging appreciation for a manager that has helped us to the best season in decades. Wouldnt have bothered.

Funny as fuck ;-)

I havent forgotten you, you're the guy who 2 minutes after the Fulham win posted a thread from your bedroon about "I bet so called fan Didsbury Dave is gutted". I was making my way across London, ecstatic at the time, getting ready for the long journey home.

People like you will never get it. Never. But life must be quite simple in some ways to fair play to you.

Never posted a thread like that Dismal. You are mistaken as usual.

Never get what? Are you going to trott out the super fan bollocks. That you are better than the rest of us cos you go home and away and therefore your opinions are more valuable than anybody elses. You trott that line out a lot. You should get over yourself really, you super fan you.

Why is it so wrong to have an opinion that isn't fawning or completely uncritical?

We've won the FA Cup and I was in tears at the final whistle. Not because, as some on here would have it, that I was gutted that he'd won something but because I was pleased.

But if we strip away the emotion we struggled to beat 3 lower league teams and then beat a Premiership team that wasn't remotely interested. The semi was our first real test and we didn't turn up until 25 minutes in and could easily have been a couple down. Then we played well for the rest of the game.

But just 5 days before that game we were completely abject at Anfield. Since then we let Everton off the hook after being in total control.

So that's why some of us still doubt whether he really has the ability to take us all the way to a title and CL.

Saturday was the first time that we completely controlled a game for 90 minutes and if we carry on like that the doubts will disappear.

So while I'm thrilled about an FA Cup and CL qualification, I'm looking at next season, when we won't be able to rely on teams around us self-destructing and will have to raise the bar far more than we have this season. 70 points will not be good enough come May 2012.

I'm still not fully convinced Mancini can deliver that vital improvement but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.[/quote]

I haven't read the replies to this yet but had to stop here.... You HAVE been proved wrong!!!! Top 4 Guaranteed AND an FA Cup - How the Fuck is that not vital improvement!??!?!??!?!?!?!??!!??!???!?!?! Puddled really fuckin puddled!!!!

I didnt reply cos unlike PB I cant see into the future and he obviously can...so i'd lose.

Interesting.. I will admit we have been a result orientated team.. Not giving much about how we win as long as we win. Meaning most at times we win in a way which not pretty or loose in not a so pretty way for that matter.. however in all fairness Mancicni has been proved right with the FA CUP win and our league position.

To instill a winning mentality you actually have to win!! Especially if you havnt won anything in 35 years! Those who win with style are those who have mastered the art of winning and can do so in their sleep. One of the reasons why Hughes failed terribly and always won 4-3 or 3-3..

Anyway... for those Mancini haters still trying to find basis for their arguments in saying this is what was expected of him and so he hasnt achieved anything or he is where he is because the top 4 let him.. is absolutely ludicrous!!

You should be ashamed of yourself, and man up and face the music. I am sure if he had failed you would all have been on song telling us how shyte he was.

Watch my lips and I'll translate into English. "I'm (i.e. me personally) am not fully convinced (i.e. I've seen lots of good things and lots of not so good things and still don't know how to call it) that Mancini can deliver that vital improvement (i.e. i.e the 10-15 extra points we need next season).

It's called an opinion. Not a prediction.

I thought that Samaras was going to be a great player. I thought that Blackpool were going to get relegated with less than 20 points this season. I definitely can't see into the future.

Had Mancini failed they would be holding their own open topped minibus parade next monday.

Polarizing figure our Bob isnt he?

On this forum at least, I believe the majority are in support of Mancini. Its just that the minority are vociferous in their anti Mancini agenda.
