How do we get better next season?

Yep. Retain the title. CL can fuck off for me. I'd rather be Champions of England than win a cup competition.

Agree that next season it would be great to get back to back titles. But I want us to establish ourselves in european terms. The messi statement rings true slightly, at the minute we dont have that type of player in the team who when he gets the ball does not always look to make a pass, but will in fact take on the defence like Messi.

The only player on our books i have seen do this sort of thing and isnt afraid to try it & plays a similar position, is Diaz.
 
I think if we could get players outside the first choice 11 to play better and put pressure on those in possession of the shirts it would be a good thing.

Arguably the only player to have done this is Bernardo. Others like Danilo, Gundogan, Zinchenko etc. have done a job when they have come in but have not looked like they can make the position their own.

I think we as fans can improve too by generating a better atmosphere. Not in a dipper like nasty way but getting behind the team from the off.
 
1. all transfer business done early, (the world cup will bugger up pre-season preparation)
2. retain the league title
3. aim for a domestic treble
 
Repeat our form prior to Liverpool in the league. Get Mendy playing all season. We need another attacking option and get a defensive midfielder.

I think we need to come up with a strategy for playing away in the latter stages of the Champions League.

It’s been fine margins. November to December we got some great late goals. April our good fortune has run out. Another year maybe we go in 3-0 up in the Derby win the league and then draw level in Champions League the next match.

Probably not but the last three games show we aren’t yet properly equipped to get where we want to be. No Plan B and no strength in the box without Sergio.

Sometimes a Good Big’un can get things done that a Good Little’un can’t. A Yaya in his prime, smashing through the midfield and a forward big enough and strong enough to compete in the box when we cannot dance or walk the ball into the net would be great options.

Not convinced Jesus has the strength and power needed to be the one guy in the box. Sergio has but he’s not getting any younger or less injury prone.
