We know they do an amazing job on limited resources, but we all wish they could do more, whilst impacting our own freedom as little as possible.

Yeah I totally agree. I think it requires changes in law. Counter terrorism police can only do what they are allowed to do

I'd argue the ones who have downloaded bomb making material are already off our streets if there's evidence to support it. Who else and under what law do we take others of the streets though?

But what if last nights attackers were law abiding citizens up till last night? We have no way of stopping them in that scenario.

Anyway, curry is ready and i'm going to watch the love Manchester concert.

I think we all can agree we want what's best but in my opinion we have to be careful in what we give up to achieve it.

That's the problem, we don't have the laws to do it. There needs to be changes in law. In the immediate aftermath of the Manchester bomb there were UK based hate preachers posting online in support or sympathy for the bomber. As far as I'm concerned that's inciting further attacks and should be a criminal offence. We were locking people up during the London riots for posting on twitter that more people should join the riots. I don't see how this is different

If we start to see increasing reports of accidents and suicides and there seems to be a high proportion of young Muslim men involved then something is being done about it. It would be the start of the decline of our society as we know it mind.
