How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Although those things are of course significant, I think over the past few years the soaring price of energy driving a low growth and high inflation economy has overtaken Brexit as an issue for ourselves and our EU friends. We've already wasted a decade or more on circular Brexit arguments and now risk 'fiddling while Rome burns'.
If I buy a city shirt and it came with the wrong number and name on it then I'd return it.

I wouldn't instead try to stick with it and proudly wear my "#10 Twat" shirt....

Although I could admittedly see how people might think I’m taking the piss here or wumming or whatever the term is….
However, is it possible to get a simple head count of opinion in here.
I travel over to England regularly but haven’t approached this subject with anyone I know over there.

Regardless of how you voted in the referendum, do you think it was a good or bad idea. A simple good or bad, would do.

I know at least one contributor in here has , admirably I would say, stated in here he was wrong and regrets having voted to leave. Are there any others like that or are people happy with the choice they made?

Governments for the next 20-40 years will be gradually working towards the sensible compromise we should have found when we left. I was surprised Starmer didn't flex more on free movement but I supposed he sensed it was politically dangerous in that it could be seen/spun as weak on immigration
Instead he's gone for other politically dangerous stuff.

This doesn't answer that question - as most of this will not be a change of view but older Brexit voters being replaced by younger pro-Europe voters.

Anyone who voted for Brexit should volunteer to pay more tax to make up for the £100,000,000,000 loss in GDP per year. So that equates to approx £5800 per Brexit voter per year, obviously those with the broadest shoulders Dyson, Scruffy Jim etc should pay more, but I know Brexit folks, overjoyed with their new won freedoms (freedom not to travel visa free and work in the EU etc) will want to do the right thing now they’ve taken back control.
