How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

Was just wondering how it would affect the academy.
I don’t know whether 16-17 year olds would get a temporary visa.
Doesn’t matter. Just a thought.
They can’t, so Girona, Troyes etc will have decent academy set ups, before the cream potentially coming here when they’re 18.

It’s why we’re buying U.K. 15 year olds for inflated fees to try and get the best ones.

According to FA and Premier League rules, teams can not sign players under the age of 18 from abroad. This used to just apply to players outside the European Union, but after the United Kingdom opted for Brexit, it now relates to any player not situated in the country.

How does it affect work visas for Britain?
I watched an interview recently with a musician. He plays in the band King Crimson. It's not a band I followed but I had heard of them and, well, he explained just how complicated and expensive it is these days to tour in Europe.

Every member of the tour party had to have a work visa to enter each country, and it cost between £100 and £200 per visa depending on which country they were entering, so it was costing the band several thousand pounds every time they crossed a border.

The visas had to be applied for at each UK embassy of the countries they were visiting so their passports could be stamped, so it took months for all the passports to receive the required stamp, as the passports could only be at one embassy at a time.

As if that was not enough, he added they had a van with all the merchandise on board, T-shirts and so on. They had to pay VAT in full on all the merchandise entering the country, and if they sold 10%, they could then reclaim 90% of the VAT they had paid when they left, but the same scenario happened when entering the next country.

It's not quite the same as traveling from England to Wales, but we had it like that for a while.<iframe width="914" height="514" src="" title="Rockstar describes ‘unforeseen failing&#39; of post-Brexit touring difficulties | LBC" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

British dairy farmers say ‘harder than ever to recruit’

24-Sep-2024 By Bethan Grylls

New data finds that the on-going labour shortage crisis is only worsening, as a survey of Arla Foods’ farmers reveals 56% are struggling to hire, with the majority unable to find new employees with the right skillsets.

Pandemic and end of free movement of labour among the reasons.

Cows just not taking the job on anymore?

Can Starmer deliver something tomorrow like European travel ? what can he do ? Brexit is such a minefield and I don’t think Starmer can change anything at all only polite conversation and nothing will be different.

Let’s have another vote like a general election I’m sure most people would vote to return in a heartbeat

Anyone who voted for Brexit should volunteer to pay more tax to make up for the £100,000,000,000 loss in GDP per year. So that equates to approx £5800 per Brexit voter per year, obviously those with the broadest shoulders Dyson, Scruffy Jim etc should pay more, but I know Brexit folks, overjoyed with their new won freedoms (freedom not to travel visa free and work in the EU etc) will want to do the right thing now they’ve taken back control.
When you put it like that I’m struggling to know why anyone voted for Brexit or why the government allowed a referendum in the first instance. There must be some benefits the NHS, £50 million, intact borders (only there is more Legal immigration)
Anyone joining the March on Brexit tomorrow.?
