I don’t think it’s that nuanced, there were plenty pointing out what we would lose there were plenty pointing out the difficulties we would have getting new trade deals, plenty pointing out the difficulties of the Irish border, plenty pointing out how it would make trade harder with EU countries. Plenty pointing out our dependence on free movement of workers.
Those that voted against believed Farage, Johnson, Rees Mogg etc instead, saying these things wouldn’t happen because they wanted to not because they were trustworthy. Now when proved wrong they try to blame the remain campaign instead of taking responsibility for their own bad decisions .
