How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

And there we have it, right on cue.

Yes I argued for and voted for brexit, as was my absolute democratic right and on reflection I was wrong. I argued even more vehemently for brexit too happen when many wanted the result of the referendum ignored and for that I will never apologise because to have done that would have been a disgrace.

What you think of me personally is if so little consequence it barely registers. What you have to get used to though is the fact my vote and that of every single other person out there matters just as much as yours does and sometimes, you will be in a minority and you won’t get the outcome you would like.

With brexit it all got a tad too personal and even to this day, some just won’t let go and I include yourself in that.

You demand democracy but only on your own terms and it does not work like that I’m afraid.
How would you vote if the brexit referendum was to be retaken tomorrow?

He admits its failed - he said he would leave the UK if Brexit failed yet this shit stain remains here soiling the country's politics

Does he? He doesn't hold any political office and as far as I can tell his only platform is GB news that only a small amount of people have any interest in - and obsessives on twitter I suppose.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though isn't it. I didn't vote. Why ? Because I could not reconcile what should happen with what could happen. What could happen did happen and we are left with the current shitshow. What should have happened is that there was a properly researched and funded plan in place to address the gaps that leaving the EU would bring to the fore. An example of this is tradespeople. I live in North Wales and there were plenty of Europeans (particularly Poles) working in industries where there was a shortage of trained British workers. Immediately the results were known there should have been a properly executed plan to train young people to fill these roles. never happened.
In addition to that, we could have hoped that the EU would have acted in a responsible and mature way and actually eased the transition in terms of future relationships. They didn't. They went out of their way ( like a partner on the wronged side of a divorce) to make things as awkward and difficult as possible. You can argue that 'We left, that was our decision', but it didn't have to be that way.
I think it is over simplifying things to assume that anyone who did, or considered, a vote to leave the EU is some sort of brainless knuckledragger. It isn't that simple.
Nobody needed hindsight it was going to be a clusterfuck from the word go , basically people were being asked to vote for a fantasy and the most basic bit of research would have highlighted it to anybody who could be arsed putting the effort in .
