The other cheek of the same arse is leave voters (and particularly politicians) taking the route of victims of remain acolytes and refusing to take responsibility for the mess they made of the country.

But to actually answer the question "How do we resolve the Brexit mess?" the answer is that we can't.

There's nothing anyone can do which will "resolve" it. We'll have an ongoing, painful national conversation and negotiation with the EU which will go on for decades.

Being honest about the impacts is a first step, and even that's not yet possible for most politicians, who are in the main terrified of being perceived as going against the ideology.

Sadiq Khan will be gone shortly. Europe is not exactly in the best of states. They are likely to be worse off. Brexit and other factors will ensure many countries will be chasing their tails for many years yet. I blame the leaders of the so called free world. We have got to learn to try and make the best of things. Life is too short to worry about.

we have seen nothing yet - wait until the full border checks come in on imports - costs and shortages will soar ( we have to do this after putting it off time and time again or fall foul of sanctions due to breaching WTO rules - and this lot seemed to think WTO had all the answers lol )

They seemed to think that the WTO was some kind of saviour and alternative.
A cursory investigation would have revealed to them that the EU and its constituent states were all members!
