How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

There were certainly some left leaning Brexit voters.
More likely imo,a larger part of the Brexit vote was made up of people who don't do News or current affairs channels.
The latter is based on people I worked with, who tended to get their "news" off social media or from popular newspapers.
A lot of Brexit voters will be older voters that have no idea GB news exists let alone where to find it and vote in a poll.

The EU only ever created laws in certain areas, mainly trade and standards related.

There are vast areas of legislation for which the UK Parliament always was wholly responsible and (frankly) more than enough to keep such inadequate actors fully occupied.

For example:

The sentence for burglary could have been increased to a minimum of 10 years. No EU involvement.
The state pension could have been doubled. No EU involvement.
We could have abolished and replaced the House of Lords. No EU involvement.
We could have reformed the education system in any way we chose. No EU involvement.
We could have introduced PR voting. No EU involvement.
We could have reformed local government in any way we chose. No EU involvement.
We could have made it legal to piss in the gutter. No EU involvement.

I could go on, adding to this list, almost to infinity. The EU was, and remains, a convenient excuse for UK politicians. The fact is most of them are lazy shits who can't be arsed to do anything much apart from talk twaddle and stuff themselves in their subsidised restaurants while they pass their time away before drawing the best pension available in the UK, bar none.

In fact, our politicians are so lazy and useless that despite the fact it was a matter of public concern, they made no attempt whatever to control EU immigration even though EU law allowed them to ask anyone not in a job or self-maintaining to leave after three months. Too much trouble, you see.
i agree wholeheartedly. Even this morning, ex Brexit buffoon Stephen Barclay, now health buffoon, was spouting that we couldn't have rolled out the vaccine if we had still been in the EU, which is complete bollocks. Once again it was allowed to go unchallenged even by Kuensberg.

On the other hand, GB news is scarcely the preserve of the left, progressives, or people with higher-level education. It tends to attract the sort who are now telling everyone to vote for Reform. (Not a party, but a profit-making company owned by Richard Tice and associated tax dodging entities.) Tice, of course, is one of those 'patriots' who love this country so much they do not want to pollute it with their tax money. (See also Jacob Rees-Mogg, Lord Rothermere, et. al.)

just seems a little strage that GB News viewers wouldnt vote for brexit. Maybe it wasnt the little englander who voted for it afterall and was in fact the left.

Many of them will be no more. Even before the pandemic, more people were dying in England and Wales than had been usual, and that trend has only worsened with COVID-19. Now, the near collapse of social care, the pressures on the NHS, and the cost of living crisis will only hit that population harder.

It is estimated that 60% of those aged over 65 in 2016 voted Leave, making that the highest percentage, and they would be a minimum of 71 now.

Even my gammon mate who has steadfastly defended the advantages of little England standing alone is changing his tune. He’s in haulage and guess what, he spends hours filling in forms to get goods over to the continent and struggles to get reverse loads to return to the UK. He also recently complained like F coz of the queues to get through passport control on his recent holiday.

when the pain begins to affect more people a greater number will begin to question the wisdom and ask for answers or reassurance from the nasties. It should become harder and harder for them to play the Brexit/ war in Ukraine cards.

Hunt has injected just enough painkiller to alleviate the immediate agony, but the patient is going to be in acute pain until 2026, at the least.

At one point when questioned about NHS spending he actually had the neck to mention Alexander Defeffel’s ‘40 new hospitals’ promise, as if it had ever been a real thing.
No challenge from ms.K.

What the fuck did these people expect?
