How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

FFS! the referendum was in 2016, the World is a different place now, we had a pandemic and wars all over the place, a change of government and Trump will be back in the White House in January. It seems we are in a bad place but so are most EU members. I am just going with the flow these days, I just can’t be bothered anymore, I voted remain because I didn’t know what would happen as a result of Brexit, and still don’t, probably never will, but people will argue for decades.

High streets full of closed shops like in the UK - 15K workers needed daily from Spain which can just be walked across and their highest market obviously with Spain. When they have their own referendum which way do you think they would vote?

 
Some would have it the French & Germans are cosying up to Starmer because Farage has brokered a bumper tariff busting deal between the US & UK based around joint development of new military technology and they want a piece.

Yes of course he has. The present US and UK govts listen deeply to Nigel Farage who has an enormous amount of international clout, particularly on issues of defence infrastructure impacting upon on global security

Is that the same Nigel Farage who flew to the US to support a mate in his hour of need after being shot and said mate snubbed him?

Haway with yourself Farage is a pawn who thinks he is a King and in any event the Labour Govt would have fuck all to do with him.

Where did Mandelson say Farage could broker a deal?

BBC Kuenssberg show last Sunday - somebody else mentioned Farage, may have been Andrew Roberts.

Google will find what was said fairly easily.

A Times podcast - Uk should end feud with Musk, and then look to use any bridges to make nice and see what can be gained. Asked if that included Farage, he said yes.

Mandelson is thought to be in the running to be ambassador to the US - I'm not convinced it'll help his case.
