How do you like your steak?

Served to the table cremated with lashings of pepper sauce poured over the top with medium to medium thick consisitency. Accompanied with with petit pois, baby carrots and new yucan gold potatoes with a solitary sprig of Basil for dressings sake. For pudding I would accompany it with banana Angel delight to appease the palate.

The only reason they’re cooked at all is because they have bacteria that grows on the outside so the cooking bit is simply to kill the bacteria. Otherwise they wouldn’t really need cooking and they definitely don’t need cooking any more than medium rare where the outside has had enough heat to kill the bacteria.
That’s right. However in some restaurants it is difficult to know if they have cooked the meat at a high enough temperature which is why I err toward medium/medium-well to give the meat a better chance. I rarely choose steak to be honest though, unless it’s a quality restaurant, as I don’t trust cheapo places to know not to use the same tongs throughout the cooking process.

A better idea might be to avoid shit restaurants ?
