Loved having Mario at City and will never forget his part in the Aguerrrrroooo.. moment or his winding up of Plug.

If you look at the video highlights from the 11/12 season, it's amazing to see how many times Mario was involved in our goals considering he only had one true assist
A really likeable guy, but there's a time to get your head down and work. Unfortunately he didn't/doesn't do it enough
I really believe that at the end of his career he'll look back at his time at City and think those were his best days, which is a real shame because he could have been a worldy

Interesting view on the game there blue from your part of the world.
Lots of plus, lots of negative about Mario. We got 2 good years out of him, possibly the best in his career to date, but then his final year was as you see him now, he was either injured or banned and CBA !
But he gave city that media interest we needed at an important time of climbing under bobby manc, ok some media was good some bad but either way it got on the back page. FA cup semi final v rags and cup final win / pass to sergio for the PL title are unforgeable moments but the cherry on top had to be the 6-1 drubbing at the swamp. The why always me will still be on tshirts in 25 years time & on tv adds, you cant buy those moments.
A fine player with fantastic skill or a lazy sod that cant be arsed, I said when he went to Liverpool last year "will Mario still be playing football in 5 years time or a bust broken player". If he ain't careful the latter.
Mario is still a blue fan deep down though :-)

Love the guy. He's misunderstood and a lot of negatives are perpetuated by the rag media.
On his day a fantastic player, and although admittedly his day didn't happen often enough I'm pretty sure he'd still score more goals for us than Dzeko did last season, and not spend as long on the treatment table as Jovetic. I'd have him as third striker to replace those two; with Kun, Bony & Iheanacho that'd be some strike force!
Plus, he's a great personality and publicity for the club. The media hate us anyway so it wouldn't change anything on that score, but we would get more fans abroad and air time with Mario, which we need to overtake the rags & Chelsea's legions of foreign hangers on spending their money on the club they purport to follow. Any publicity is good if it generates cold, hard cash.

He'll always regret not knuckling down, here more than anywhere...... As a bloke, top lad, mad as they come and also has a massive heart.... The footballer??? Forget about it..... He's made for the MLS, city will coin it in, should they give him the platform in New York, they would adore him over there!!!
