How does Mark Hughes keep getting work?.

Beggars belief. I briefly looked on a QPR forum expecting them to be a git gutted tbh but some of them were loving the idea of Hughes as boss of their club. Here's one of comments I found on there:

"Hughes's record is pretty impressive, I'm not sure why a number of people on here don't want him, it's not like his style of football was that bland, it may not have been over thrilling but defensively it was sound and I think overall very effective."

Solid defensively? From what I seem to recall a majority of our games usually seemed to end in us conceding 2 or 3 and scoring more than our opposition. Sure that's entertaining football for the neutral I guess but when it's your club and they're letting goals in left, right and centre it isn't brilliant. I could think of at least 5 managers from the top of my head that would be capable of doing a better job than Hughes at QPR. Don't get me wrong he'll do okay but with the ambition their owners have I doubt they'll have much patience with. Positives, could Roque be off to Loftus Road?? Here's hoping...

Hughes usually won't take jobs mid-season because it takes six months to stamp his authority onto the team. QPR will still get relegated imho and probably bounce back next season.

I am starting to believe the PL is like a cult and Fergie is the cult leader with all
his ex United players as his minows. Even Roy Keane he is the most biased pundit
I have ever heard next to Dwight (No Idea) Yorke but these muppets keep getting work.

Cos shitloads of draws is better than shitloads of losses.

But he is. Just not to the level we required AFTER he was appointed. Hughes did an excellent job with Blackburn (never replaced properly) and Fulham's second half of the season was strong. The problem at Craven Cottage is that Mohammed Al Fayed doesn't put his hand in his pocket.

It's a shrewd appointment for QPR to make and he's the most obvious candidate.

if he has been lined up for the QPR job he clearly knew nothing about it as that would be profoundly unethical
I bet he was in the stands at Loftus Road too, the ****.

-- Mon Jan 09, 2012 2:51 pm --
It's a shrewd appointment for QPR to make and he's the most obvious candidate.
Mark Hughes has a 41% win record.

Strachan has 44%. Grant has 46%

He is a worse manager than Gordon Strachan and Avram Grant.

For the record, Mancini's record is 56%. Ferguson's is 57%

I feel for QPR fans. Word is this is all play and hughes and qpr have agreed a deal two weeks ago and Kia will play big part in the transfers they will make this window. He has finally his wish....be a power player in a PL team. But dont forget he's just an advisor

Hughes does a Bobby!

I can't see or hear a media outcry but it looks like Hughes has done a Mancini on Warnock. How could he?
