How far back in time do your City memories go.

The '81 FA Cup QF against Everton. I was only seven, and we'd just moved to Manchester. My Dad took me down to Maine Road (first time on match day!) and the atmosphere just blew me away. I'll never forget that evening, it was the first time I fell in love!

Furthest back mine goes to is watching them return to Albert Sq after the 69 cup final. I was 4 at the time and my sister took me. So really i must be a gloryhunter!

Remember my first game, my grandad took me to City v Portsmouth 83-84. Mark Hateley scored first (header) but we came back to win 2-1, I think it may have been Parlane (pen) and Tolmie.
Just remember my grandpop shouting "Get youre hair cut man" to hateley every 5 mins....bless him.
Wish he could see us now, hey but at least he's seen City win something....

1969 Cup Final....
sat in D.E.R. shop watching on a colour TV

My first game, I was 4 years old and didn't know a peanut about football. I didn't know it existed.

1998, Bournemouth at home. I was chucked in at the deep end by my dad, I was tricked into being a City fan. Danny Allsopp scored the first goal I ever saw, Bournemouth equalized, and Paul Dickov scored in the closing stages to secure the win. Woo. I was sat in the Kippax, I fell in love that day, never turned back, even though there were times when I've cried and been bullied at school etc.

I can imagine my kids bullying un*ted fans at school when I have some. Lol.

I'll make sure there's violence involved.

"Son, if I haven't had a phone call at the end of the week from your headteacher, you must be doing something wrong."

i remember vividly being 2 at my first game 0-0 until the 89th min then we scored and everyone went mental... i was so scared i didn't stop crying until i got back in the car. after that i moved away from manchester and didn't come back until i was 6 when i got a season ticket in the 96/97 season beat ipswich 1-0 in the first game and it was all downhill from there really 5 or 6 managers culminating in frank clarke :( still i was hooked though.

The first game my dad took me to aged 9 vs Derby County at Maine Road. We sat in the Platt Lane End and we lost 1-0 to a Colin Hendry own goal (I think). That was it, I was hooked.
