In comparison, I noticed Walcott had a very similar one-on-one for Arsenal very late on and completely fluffed it. Much less pressure on him from the covering defender as well.

The Mail has a nice match report (unusual, I know) that says how Kelchi was last into the changing rooms and was greeted by all the players singing the 'Iheanacho' song. This tells you two things; one, that the players are aware of what we sing at the match, and two, that all of his team-mates really like this young fella. With all the encouragement of those around him, this young man should fulfill his potential.
Also, top marks to our management staff for not introducing him too rapidly and ramping up expectations - something our quiet neighbours are often guilty of.

If you watch the highlights of Hull's match from the weekend, a young Arsenal loanee (Chuba Akpom) scores a n FA cup hat trick just like Kelechi. One thing I noticed was the difference in the celebrations from the two. Kelechi looks humble and grounded - he seeks his team mates to celebrate with after scoring each goal. Akpom celebrates like he's angry and full of himself like the big I am. Totally contrasting Kelechi's reserved behaviour.

As for your assessment being made on comparing them with players and City teams of the past well fuck me.

No. I don't want to fuck you. City kids of the past include Richards, Sturridge, Ireland, Johnson, SWP, and before that, Lake, White, Hinchcliffe etc etc & before that Barnes, Power, Owen etc efc & before that Tony Towers, Ian Bowyer etc etc so YES comparing the standard in reserve to that required to pay top level football in each era. We currently have the best group we have ever had, some of which have already gone.

And no, I won't name which 1st team players should be replaced as I've said 1000 times I don't wany ANY first team players replacing in the team at all & have spelled it out quite clearly even in this thread, & am sick to death arguing a case which I'm not even in favour of.

I repeat: I don't want ANY first team players replacing with kids at this stage. That's none.

Someone will again ask me which kids I think should replace 1st team players & tell me I'm deluded thinking kids should be starting in the first team, watch.
