How High...

I got asked to train with the Rags when I was probably around 11 or 12. I spent about 2-3 yrs there being trained by Nobby Stiles and Jim Ryan at the Cliff. Along with a few others from my local league we didnt get retained after that, in hindsight i should have been a bit more committed and who knows what could have happened from there.

Nobby Stiles was a fantastic coach and such a nice bloke, he always made sure to speak to you and ask you how you got on at the weekend etc.
I wore my City shirt a couple of times and he just smiled

I still play now but just for fun
 
I went to a school that only had Rugby Union and cross-country as their winter sports. I did quite well as a winger in rugby because of my speed, but got fed up with being battered to bits by the Neanderthal forwards in the teams we used to play against.
When I left school I played football for a local Sunday league team for a couple of years. They used to play me as a left winger, but I couldn't kick a cow's arse with my left foot. The highlight of my footballing career was scoring in the Sunday league cup final (we won 7-0). It was the only time my name was in the local paper not associated with a court case.
I ended all my sporting endevours shortly after that cup final to concentrate on my true vocation of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll
 
I played for Lancs county from 13-16....
Roach Dynamos from 11-16...Blackpool n Blackburn came lookin at me, I scored a belter but I had a nightmare that day, got booked, couldnt pass, So then i tried to beat everyone on my own, n they dont like greedy bastards do they!!! !!!! SODS LAW...If theyd have come to see me the week after, I was like Viera in his prime..lol
Played Amateur football Sat afternoon for a couple of years but dint like the lads....
Im a 5 a side-aholic at the mo, 3 times a week....... AND just for good measure.....Sunday league in Bury whenever I get a phone call these days, i cant commit to it coz of work..

'Kin hell, Roach Dynamos. That's a blast from the past. How old are you jacko?
 
Played for Blackpool up until age of 15, then went to Burnley and signed up till i was 18. Unfortunately at 17 I started getting pains in my knee and it turned out my cartlidge was fucked. Not been able to sprint properly since. Still ill about the situation to this day and I am currently working in an office !

I hate when injuries make decisions for people...
its not fair...
