How many horses are truly in this race?

CFC don't have the strength in depth up front. I was waiting for them to buy another striker in the Summer, and they didn't. If they buy a top quality striker in Janaury then they are a big threat. I doubt very much if Falcao will go anywhere in January. Have you seen the Spanish League Table?

I thought he had a get out clause in his contract? His dad was talking about this the other week.
He extended his contract in July 2011 and he has a get out clause of 45 Million Euros.

But presumably the player will be happy to stay whilst they are fighting for the Spanish League title, and they wouldn't want to sell him. I am only guessing.

I don't think we have anything to fear from Chelsea, I mean come on their only striker is Torres who can't score for shit.

Won't even talk about Sturridge

Definitely still a three horse race. Chelsea are a great team and full of match winners. The rags never know when they are beaten. If they get fellani in January they for me will be outright favourites. Whoever finishes above the rags will win it.

Not putting Atletico down and I would love them to win the Spanish title, but its not really going to happen even if Falcao stays. RM and Barca will ultimately have too much for them. Falcao will be as aware of this as anyone.

I think Chelsea will drop out of the race in December and January. That trip to Japan will crush them. Its between us and Scum bring it on.Bluemoon

And in doing so, fail FFP and get kicked out of the very competition everyone is saying we need to start doing better in.

No thanks. We've got the foundations of a very good team now. Slow and steady over constant money splurges now, please.
Shows a complete misunderstanding of the way fees are shown in the accounts mate as fees are amortised.

Say we buy him at £50m on a 5 year contract, that shows as £10m per year in the accounts.

We sell Dzeko for £20m, which would actually mean the two transfers show as a net £10m profit in next years accounts.

If City beat Chelsea away and Stretford at home in the coming weeks then surely it is a one horse race and ours to lose ?

City and united will leave Chelsea behind in January

-- Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:31 pm --
