How many league goals will Haaland score this season?

I’ll be more than happy if he hits over 30 league goals if I’m honest, the Dixie Dean record is a bit of a non starter (imo of course), totally different game back then, how many of the greatest strikers who ever lived have come even close to it ? I don’t know, I’m just asking/guessing here.

I think that because Haaland isnt going to WC this year he will be played alot by PEP, he can have a 6 weeks break from matches and when season starts again be roaring to get more goals. Its a blessing in disguise that Haaland isnt playing in WC

I keep trying to do an objective step-back and be rational about it all. Of course there will be a drop off. Of course he won't score 2 or 3 goals every game. The records that exist exist for a reason, he's not going to smash them. But then I start to question myself and think it's irrational to doubt it. Why won't he? I don't think the rest of the team has hit it's height yet, first half against United not withstanding, and some of the players are still getting up to speed with having him on the pitch. He's still gettting used to the pace of the league. I'm trying not to be giddy about it, but why won't he score 1 or 2 against Liverpool or 3 or 4 against Southampton, Brighton, Leicester, Brentford? Who or what is stopping him?
It will be geat to watch it all unfold. We are in uncharted territory. Last season we created hundreds of chances which were not converted because not enough players were making those key runs into the box at the right time. Sergio started slowing down just as KDB, Benardo, Foden, Cancelo started peaking with their creative skills. Jesus and Raheem were very hard working but nowhere the levels of Haaland in scoring goals. If we keep creating the chances and Haaland stays fit he will keep banging them in.

Messi is the best of all time mate, very much doubt it.
You can't compare the two because Messi was never really an out and out striker. Pep essentially invented the false number 9 position for Messi. Ronaldo is a fairer comparison but even he started as a winger. But it seems clear that at the moment Haaland is the best striker in world football. Mmbappe is brilliant but often plays out wide. We should just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Jimmy Greaves got 41 league goals in 1960/61. I saw him in later years. He was fantastic.

When you think bobby, many people of a certain age, even neutrals, often say Greaves was the best striker they’ve ever seen, it makes you realise what an accomplishment it would be even getting close to that in the modern era, it would be outstanding.
Obviously I hope he smashes every record out there though :-)

It’s not impossible but i still believe it’s gonna be difficult doing those numbers England

I know that sounds stupid because Haaland is already breaking records here but I think it’s pretty telling that Suarez, Messi and Ronaldo are the only players that were hitting almost 60 or more in all competitions and they were all playing in the same league. Was it down to them all being great players? Yes, was it also a coincidence they all did it in the same league? I’ll say no.

Put Haaland in those Barca or Madrid teams in those seasons and he would do the same, in my opinion.

Like Suarez and Ronaldo couldn’t, I’m not sure Messi would’ve ever scored 40 in the Premier League in one season, certainly not 50.

All that considered, the fact players like Suarez and Ronaldo couldn’t hit their La Liga numbers in the premier league, if anybody ever hits 40 in the premier league (Haaland or otherwise), I’d say that’s pretty much as impressive as hitting 50 in La Liga during the time Messi did it.
I'm delighted we have Alfie's little lad but although I'm sure he'll set PL records I doubt he'll match Messi. Hope I'm wrong.

Actually, Austria, Hungary, City ourselves and Italy all used false 9s first. And Cruyff was one himself. Guardiola is a genius but don't give false credit.
