Same. 14 goals in 15 games is a big ask, given his post world cup scoring rate. He needs a couple more hat tricks to give himself a chance.9 in 15 is not a foregone conclusion; i think 40 isnt happenning anymore

What ? HAHA!!! He'll smash the record. All strikers go through lean periods and he's on one(lean for him anyway) He'll score a few more hatricks against fodder which will blast up his tally. Still think he'll do the 40 goal target too. He who dares Paul.Hate to say it but I don’t think he will surpass the goals record in the premier if we carry on like this . Can’t see him getting many more till seasons end .

Whether or not he breaks the PL record, it is irrelevant. Dixie Dean holds the real record and nobody will break that. If we're to be fair about these matters, he needs 7 more goals to get the record in a 38-game season. That, to me, is more important than if he breaks the record since 1992. The only difference between 1991/92 and 1992/93 is the fact that the league rebranded and Sky ram it down our throats that this is the only era that matters.
