4 or 5 times today he was off on his runs behind but each time we played safe. Mainly Kev, but one instance early in 2nd half, Rodri had the chance to play first time pass through to Haaland but played the safe ball to Kev who was between him and Haaland. They're doubling up on him, so if we're not getting quick balls to him then he's not going to prosper. Also, Kev in the first half gave him a proper dirty look after not making the run he wanted. If only we had Merlin here. :(

A guy next to me today said “he’s been playing so much better since he stopped scoring”. There’s a kernel of truth in that.

Today's game was another without Haaland scoring from a Kevin assist.
For those of us who placed the bets pre-season it's getting sqeaky bum time. Got seven need three more. CTID

Amazing how it’s gone so quiet after such a sensational start. Looks like Haaland is adapting to Peps control style whereas earlier he was a free spirit and scoring for fun. Unless we start passing to him we’ll continue to struggle to win games.

Alvarez in the exact same spot as Haaland near enough. Further evidence (think we all knew) that it’s the way the players are moving the ball and not Haaland himself that means we might not be as potent as we could be at times - in terms of making best use of a central striker.
