Alvarez in the exact same spot as Haaland near enough. Further evidence (think we all knew) that it’s the way the players are moving the ball and not Haaland himself that means we might not be as potent as we could be at times - in terms of making best use of a central striker.

And the fact that Alvarez is only just ahead of him shows the disconnect our ‘creators’ have with our strikers.

You only have to look at the assist stats once you take out de Bruyne.

We’ve got a hell of a lot of improving to do as a team!

have faith he will start banging them in as we ramp up in all comps, i d expect a few more braces and a hat trick.

4 or 5 times today he was off on his runs behind but each time we played safe. Mainly Kev, but one instance early in 2nd half, Rodri had the chance to play first time pass through to Haaland but played the safe ball to Kev who was between him and Haaland. They're doubling up on him, so if we're not getting quick balls to him then he's not going to prosper. Also, Kev in the first half gave him a proper dirty look after not making the run he wanted. If only we had Merlin here. :(

I’d expect that due to the fact we play against 10 men defences packing the box.

It’s hard to predict isn’t it.

If he avoids injury and plays every game, then he’s going to get close. He’s averaging over a goal per game so that would leave him around 38/39.

He definitely could do it, but would require a bit of good fortune (and maybe a couple of hat tricks).
