He reckons you need to give it a good hour and a half to get the the stadium in time for kick off
Half an hour tops from Las Ramblas. It's a piece of piss to get to.

How does getting to Barceloneta beach at about 2 in the afternoon affect the fun then?

I suspect there will be a bunch of City fans just generally having a great time, singing and chanting so do you all think it will be a similar atmosphere at that time.

Becaise I'm seeing the sights (fist time to Barcelona so).

Thanks for the info .How about leaveing the Nou camp ? any idea the time of last Metro back to Port Olimpic ?

The last trains are usually about midnight, maybe a bit later.

With a 10pm KO that does'nt leave much time after the match to get back to town via tube ? If memory serves you could'nt walk back to the tube in that time.

And somebody on another page said that beers were €6.50 Euros. Can anybody clarify?? Please...

You can pay that in M/C if your daft enough. Dont drink on or directly around the Ramblas, its the main tourist 'trap'. get down the other areas as well. Its not dirt cheap but you should find bars a lot cheaper than 6.50 a pint.

Emailed TO yesterday re tickets, all I got was general enquiry response - useless. Does anyone know anything at all ?

this might give you an idea, but to find the cheaper bars you need to go down the back streets, port olimpic at night is great but expensive.. Cost of living in Barcelona
This page has average prices for basic goods and services to help give you an idea of the cost of living in Barcelona Spain. These prices were recorded on June 2009.

Please note that there are 100 cents in 1 Euro i.e. 100 cents make up 1 Euro.

Basic Entertaining

Espresso Coffee in Coffee shop - 1 Euro - up to 2.5 euros in tourist places

Bottle of beer from supermarket 1 litre 66 cents

Glass of beer from bar – 2.5 euros
Glass of beer in Irish Bar - 5 Euros

Cinema movie Ticket - 5.5 Euros

Grocery Items

Bottle of coke - 2 litre - 1.33 Euros

Bottle of water 1.25 litre from supermarket - 39 cents
Bottle of water 1 litre from tourist area on Ramblas 2.0 Euros

Baguette bread 0.75 c from pattesserie

all in all mate buy yourself a cooler bag from the suprmarket and fill it with their cans it will save you loads, you ll be surprised how much you spend after a few beers, you tend to forget about the price until the next day and that just adds to your headache
