Our supporters club have had it confirmed that every ticket they have applied for they have got - that's BEFORE they've gone on sale.

What is your OSC?

Rather not say tbh as it might be perceived I'm speaking out of turn. The guys who run it do a great job but I can tell you 100% that we have 90 tickets. Clearly I don't know the points status of everyone in the club but we've had the tickets confirmed and that's before the tickets have officially been put on sale so they can't be applying much of a points criteria, if at all.

Personally I'm not wanting to knock the supporters clubs (being a member myself) I think they are a great way of bringing blues together and promote the club in the locality. There has to be benefits and advantages to joining, but at some point if more people cotton on then they may have to re-visit this in the future as I can see it potentially causing problems if more high point seasoncard holders start to miss out on tickets for big games.

Ill be honest mate I never realized any of this.

I thought supporters clubs were just a way for blues to get together, didn't realize tickets were anything to do with it

Yes mate part of the supporters clubs is that the club applies for tickets for specific games on your behalf. It's so everyone can sit together on away trips for example.

The only downside is that you need to make an application about 8 weeks before the actual away fixture.

You have to have a season card or City card and then you get an OSC card and membership no and it costs I think £15 to be a member or something like that - although that charge may be specific to each club I'm not sure tbh.

Of course, if you're inclined and have enough interest, you can set up your own branch if there isn't one close by, although you'd have to speak to the club for more info around that.

Uh oh, here we go...

There should be no benefit to joining an OSC, in the past they helped people get tickets; nowadays with phone/internet etc the convenience is much higher and obtaining a ticket is much easier.

I know a good few that have joined OSC's simply to gtet tickets, the OSC is now a pretty much defunct... take away ticket privileges (which BTW have absolutely no merit to them whatsoever) and watch the numbers fall.
