This.I'll always be like that. Only when we scored the 3rd I allowed myself to smile and relax.
They had a corner on the 83rd min (It was 2-0) and Ederson caught it. I cheered like we had scored!
If that went in, it would have been 2-1 with 10 minutes of them on top, lumping high balls into the box.
Growing up in the 80s and 90s, following City, its embedded in me. I always expect the worst.
Even now, where we are one of the best teams in the world I can’t shake it off.
I remember the 6-1, absolutely brilliant to look back at but I sure as hell didn't enjoy it while I was watching it. As soon as we scored I spent the rest of the game counting down the seconds. When Fletcher scored in the last 10 minutes I proper shit it. It wasnt until maybe Silva's goal that it dawned on me we were actually tearing the fuckers apart. Only then did I relax.
One of the best games in our history and I enjoyed about two minutes of it.
