How many points to win the league?

We could just win our remaining home games including Rags and Chavs it will be enough to win the title , we might lose at the Dippers,Goons and Spuds all usually historically difficult games for us , but would expect something like W 33 D 2 L 3 Pts 101 by the end of the season , and a couple of cups thrown in :). Which will mean Carlton Pogba will be player of the season based on shirt sales and tweets and Klopp manager of the year for playing attacking expansive football and only scoring about 30 goals less than the Champions of England.

We would have to throw this away, it would be the biggest fuck up in Premier League history.

I think 9 wins (89 points) will definitely win us the title and I wouldn't be surprised if even less, maybe 85 points, gets the job done. Record points totals would be nice, I think this side would very much deserve it, however the only thing that really matters is picking up that trophy at the end of the season.

I agree 85 points will do it , it could be less but 85 points will do it.

To put more context into it, Chelsea have 17 games left, and are 17 points adrift, so they need a point more than us (averaged) every single game left, united are 15 points adrift with 16 games left, so pretty much the same equation, our drop off would have to catastrophic from here.
Exactly this, to lose from here would need us to be reffed by Moss, Madely and Mason only from now on mmmmmmm.

If everyone carries on with the same form of the first 21/22 games then we need 7 more wins. 83 points.

I expect someone will do better than that though so I'm still sticking to 90.

Just looked at the league table for the first time since last night. 62pts from 22 games is just crazy. I reckon 85pts will be enough as the chasing pack will drop points in the rush for top 4, unless Chelsea can break away from the group.

Just been looking at the table and it occurred to me that, with us on 62 pts and 16 games left (i.e. 48 pts to play for) we could lose 3 of those 16 games and still end up with over 100 pts - more than any other team has done before. Staggering really.

The top 6 fixtures are brutal for our rivals when the important months arrive. So important that we get the Liverpool and Arsenal games dealt with early. Forget unbeaten runs, get the points lead extended and rests players around Basle, Bristol, and Burnley ready for strong run-in when Foden and Jesus, and possibly Mendy can really force some silverware over the line.
