How many points to win the league?

No one else shitting bricks that all this is gonna go tits up?

Too long a blue ...

looking a the fixtures there are 6 games we should get maximum points and tge rest that ciuld be draws or possible losses, but even then the draws would take us over the line.

may not romp it but still win it

hopefully

The only reason for us to win it by less than 15 points is if we are balls deep in the CL and rest our key players.

Get a grip.......
Stop watching football take up bowls.....

It's in the bag......we have pissed it. If we avoid defeat against Leicester we will have only lost one league game and it will be March..........
Bury could probably hang on and win it from here....

84 points should be more than enough to win the league to put it in context 1 win and 11 draws would get is there.
The rags are the only ones anywhere near challenging us and they would have to go on an amazing run just to make it interesting. If we hadn't been so wasteful against Everton, Palace and Burnley we would have wrapped the league up by early March.

Maybe eight or nine points, with another three or four losses and a couple draws thrown in.
I can't see us losing 3 or 4 from 12, having lost 1 from 26, I'll be surprised if we lose 2 more, even with the injury situation right now. We only have 1 league game in the next 3 1/2 weeks, and at home we should win it, but the gap will probably close in that time, however by then we'll be getting players back. The next 2 are tricky obviously, but get points in those games and its as good as over, a win and a defeat would be better than 2 draws, then with Stoke and Brighton to follow it will be nearly over.

I don't care if we don't win it against united or get some irrelevant guard of honour, so long as we win it soon after.

Odds are we will probably win it in an away game as we won the last two titles at home (like Newcastle - though hopefully NOT on the last day). Depending on the next three games that could be in March as other teams take points off one another. But it will be after the derby now I suspect. Unless United and Chelsea drop a few more unexpected points. A draw in that game while we are at Wembley will help.

Might be nice to win it at Wembley v Spurs. Probably a realistic option.

Once won we will rightly play some youth and drop points which is why I said earlier we will not win it by double figure margins in the end as we will likely drop a few points to teams that need them when we no longer do. Especially with no unbeaten season to chase.

Records are far less important than winning it in style as we are doing. Even in games like yesterday where tiredness and injuries were showing more than they have we played some great football. That Sterling 'winner' would have been another team goal gem.

THAT is what people in future will remember this season for - our out of this world play that raised the bar for everyone else - not exactly how many points we eventually get home by.

If we can win the league cup and wrap up the league by spurs and are still in the 2 otgwr competitions, I would rather we went for them, rested firat teamers for them and balls to the points records.

if we had a domestic treble or won the champs league, but ended up winning the league by 3 points I wouldn't care about such a small difference in margins

I'm old school. A 12 point lead says we're just about level! I fully expect the rags to win 9 or 10 of their last 12. To be certain of winning the title I reckon we'll need 6 wins and a couple of draws. Looks easy enough on paper, but one bad result against Leicester, with our bogey ground (the Emirates) on behind it, and a 13 point lead could easily become 7 or 8, with all the associated pressure that would bring. On the other hand, beat Leicester and I think it'll be nigh on impossible for the rags to make up the ground

If you listen to he media the premier league wants it to go tits up for us.
Did you here that twat Tyler again today almost come in his pants when Salah scored the 2nd he fucking wanks over Liverpool & when Kane got the equalizer he was quite as a mouse.

Some would like us to win it but there is definitely lots more who want us to fail.

36 pts to play for

13 pts ahead....therefore we need 23 pts from 12 games 8 wins or 7 wind and two draws from 12 games (presuming utd or others win every game. They have to play both Liverpool Arsenal and Chelski at home. Their away game besides us are all pretty easy.)

out of the "normal top 6" we play:

Away
Arsenal
Spurs

Home:
Utd - beating that lot would make a difference to the maths as its a 3pt swing in either way depending on the result (unless its a draw)
Chelsea

Other away games are
Everton - should be safe
Stoke - fighting relegation
Westham - fighting relegation
Southampton (last game of season) - fighting relegation

Other home games:
Leicester - safe
Brighton -could possibly be fighting relegation
Swansea - fighting relegation
Huddersfield - fighting relegation

Brighton Swansea and Huddersfield at home for us will all be fighting relegation at the point we play them probably.........anythign can happen in these games at the end of the season....it may help as they may not be able to play 10men behind the ball but also they may and hope to nick 3 pts on the break....Stoke and Westham also

By the time we play Southampton they may no their fate (only 2 pts about drop zone at present)

I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose at Spurs.....

Arsenal may well be better without Sanchez and the addition of Aubamayang will give them a boost.....

The derby - well utd with Sanchez area a different prospect...they looked more attacking in there last two games (didnt work at spurs) - did this weekend vs Huddersfield...depends how Jose plays I suppose.....what we don't want to do is ket the gap decrease by anymore than it is to give them hope going into that game

Chelsea at home again will be different...they seem to have improved as the season has gone on (not the force they were last season however)

Everton (bogey team) - away is a huge game - get a win there and that will help.

I do believe it will be a lot closer than it is now at the end of the season

My pessimistic view would be to reckon we'll get 22 points from the remaining 36 putting us on 91. I think the rags will (at best) will get 27 from 36 putting them on 85 pts..
A margin of 6 is tight so if we fuck up twice we'll beat them on goal difference again. haha

Me too, but I've watched this team all season, so I'm very confident they won't come close to f**king this up, especially as nobody has ever done so from this position, and also the fact that we are actually a point further ahead than we were 2 games ago.
Arsenal were 12 points behind United in Ferbruary 1998 and won the league

But Pep will not let it happen
