Apologies for posting this in two different threads but it seems valid to both (or not if you disagree)

There are a lot of blues in fighting due to is the league won or not.

Satististically of course it’s not. But if statistics are the starting point then it’s valid to look at the probability too. Objectively it’s over 99% that City win the league and obviously that leaves 1% that City don’t.

So the guys saying it’s not over are correct.

However those that are saying it’s virtually won are by the same statistical criteria also correct.

It‘s not arrogant to say the second point as it’s objectively true and something we would say if another club were this far ahead in all probability.

The disagreement comes from a fear of being laughed at either way IMHO.It doesn’t matter because what anyone believes will not affect the eventual outcome.

We haven’t won the league yet but its very likely we will. That’s it. Some people will enjoy the ride others won’t and neither is wrong because people are different.

Im not trying to change anyone’s mind here just that the different takes don’t have to be so extreme as there is a middle ground.

Yes you did miss that Spurs tie if that's your view, were you actually at the games?

You avoid responding on what else I pointed out about the 2018-19 season because you cannot deny the simple facts.

You are not a City fan.

Yeah, we shit the bed. Lost to bloody Spurs through missing an away goal pen and Laporte fucking up.

I'm more of a City fan is one cell than you are in your entire existence, but hey-ho.

Spursy are more than capable of getting a result against the Rags and if we can manage three points from the Leeds game we then need six points from six games , we would need a collapse in Devon Locke proportions to f*ck this up.
We should aim to win all our remaining games and win the title by 20 or more points , it will put our challengers optimism for next season into perspective
It would also be nice to leave the Dippers trailing over 30 points behind us , which would mean a 50 point swing from the last season , which would confirm the Dippers are the worst team ever to defend their title , now that would mean more
How come you don't apparently know that City hold the all time record as the worst ever to defend their top league title, by getting relegated in 1938 the season after winning the old First Division title in 1937? That's a proud record that I hope will stand forever: only City could be so mercurial.

You don't answer the question I asked (anybody can look up the reasons for the goals scored in that tie) and then just throw out a random insult. That just confirms your status: you are not a City fan. No real City fan would look for any excuse to run down his team, as you do.

That's a good point but it is hard to tell whether the league is won at 99 or 90 %.

How likely was that Leeds with 10 men for 50 minutes and 29 conceded shots would win at the Etihad? 99 or 90 %?

Shit happens all the time, especially this season. Liverpool lost 6 home games in a row while scoring only one goal. How likely was that? 0,01%? The highly improbable is not impossible. It happens sometimes.

Those claiming it was done were wrong. What's worse is them calling people who are saying it's not over until its over flappers, betwetters, etc.

There is a very small chance that we won't win it. Accept it. Uncertainty is painful for some folks: learn to live with it.

We are in a fantastic position right now and would be very happy to be in that position at the start of the season. Who knows, the loss yesterday may be for good, we don't know yet. The road to multiple trophies is more likely to be bumpy and involve setbacks than be smooth and straighforward.
