It's a funny old game isn't it!

8pt lead (potentially more) but suddenly it feels tighter and harder to see where we could pick up the points we need. That despite the fact we've only lost two games in months!

Plenty of our players played a lot of football for their national teams and needed a break. The next two months have some monumental games. With an 8pts cushion it was worth making changes to a) rest key players and; b) give others match fitness and time to find form. We still should have won that game but we didn't and we move on.

Hopefully the loss reminds the squad how tough things will be, and gives them a kick up the arse. We can afford a couple of losses in the league, and the pressure is still off (relatively) so no panic yet. This month is make or break in the other competitions. Win on Wednesday and we'll have the first leg of a semi final at the end of it. Win at the weekend and we'll have an FA Cup final in May. Beat Spurs and we'll have a trophy in the cabinet. That's huge stakes and huge pressure mentally and physically.

We've earned our ability to rotate in the league and Pep was right to make changes. There are plenty of winnable games to come and I think Pep will now look to make fewer changes to ensure we have a consistent team that can go on a winning run to the end of the season. He's used Leicester and Leeds to make some changes and give some a rest. Now it's time to kick on.

Good points mate, especially the rotation bit. The team he put out on Sat was more than a match against mid table opposition, at home and with the extra man. Horrendous result on the back of an average performance, but we move on.

You're talking aboug us dropping a minimum of 8 points from 18 available, so lose half our games remaining or draw as many as all 6.

Villa (a)
Palace (a)
Chelsea (h)
Newcastle (a)
Brighton (a)
Everton (h)

Even then you are talking about United being flawless, or at the very least winning 3 more than we do (and that is if we lose all 6!). They have:

Burnley (h)
Leeds (a)
LIverpool (h)
Villa (a)
Leicester (h)
Fulham (h)
Wolves (a)

By 1st May they'll be out of it. They are nowhere near as special, or as mentally tough, as we are, or as we were in 2012. You saw their reaction to the disallowed goal, they are on a knife edge, and every goal we score from now on in the league is a sucker punch right to their soft prawn sandwich eating underbellies.
