Almost guaranteed? That's arrogant or delusional. We didn't win the last 2 league games at Newcastle, and Brighton are a good team, will give us a game, especially if they are a bit lucky.

Of course, we will be favourites to win these games, but we are not almost guaranteed to win them.

We’ve beaten Newcastle 18 out of the last 22 times, our defence is massively improved from last years shit show and they’re one of the worst teams in the league. We’ve beaten Brighton 100% of the times we’ve played them and they’re ranked 15th for goals. I think we’ll be fine.

So, Liverpool were almost guaranteed to not lose a game at Anfield this season because they hadn't lost for several years there? It doesn't work like that.

This argument that because we had won so many games vs Newcastle we were almost guaranteed to win again didn't work in 2019 and 2020, did it? The past doesn't play, things change, no win is almost guaranteed in the PL. We just lost a game vs 10 men at home.
