I was so invested in winning it v chavs at home , still pissed off tbh . If it goes down to the last couple of games it will be disappointing given where we were
I see the point. But I'll always be grateful that we are where we are now, given that dark night when we drew West Brom and noone thought we had a chance. Our problems are not suddenly over. We still need a striker, a more mobile DM, and probably a proper left back.

Can we fuck it up by losing 4 on the bounce (current streak = 1) and Utd winning 5 on the bounce.
The answer is yes but it really is unlikely and we have probably already won the title when we count back.
I sort of get that Pep didn't want to show his hand to Tuchel till the CL final but Pep needs to play the no 1 team till we win it.

It's not over as Utd keep winning. Including the derby they have 19 points out of the last 21. I can not be disappointed with anything we've done in the league since the first WBA game. We've been sensational and we'll win the league this week.

I'm not bothered how it comes, as long as it does come. Which it will. A title win is never disappointing.
Exactly. Lots of nonsense from people who should know better on here. 11/12 must have been shit then given where we were at one stage.

cant be bothered doing the research but I bet theirs a fair chance that the league winners usually get less points when going the distance in the cup competitions.

Well; when a side fluked a treble back in 1999, the PL was won with 79 pts.

There are a few things our blue tinted glasses have made us ignore :

There recruitment now is getting better. When you throw so much money around, a sum of it will prove to be useful. Cavani was an astute signing so was Fernandes.

Rags are getting better. They are one Sancho and CB away from challenging us for a title. Hence a striker and a LB/CDM for us is an absolute this summer.

Ole is no Pep/Mourinho but he does know how to get the best out of his team. I begrudging think that they may be able to challenge for a title even with him at their helm.

Of Course it can all come crashing down for Rags next season and we may end up winning the title as soon as tomorrow. I will definitely be the happiest man in the world but for now I would keep an eye on them.
Hmmmm...

Fernandes has had a huge influence on their season. Incidentally, I get the strong impression that he's played nearly every single game. The guy just never seems to be injured. He's as important to them as Son or Kane are to Spurs. Everything goes through him. In two seasons, he has missed one penalty (and God knows he's taken a lot).
Scored 13 of the fuckers this season!

People need to calm down honestly, Who cares what way we win it as long as we win it. The Rags have two games to play before we kick a ball it could well be over by Friday. If not, We will get the job done by taking Newcastle apart.
2 points from the next three games...RELAX.
Kinell is that what everyone's whinging about now?
This thread is bonkers!

If you want to make a few quid? Rags to win Leicester and dippers. The PL want to make the race last as long as possible and $ly want to charge advertisers as much as they can.

We do need one win. But we ideally need United dropping points before Newcastle. A long away trip to Newcastle and a long away trip to Brighton are tough especially against teams that have no more pressure. Respect our opposition and credit to United if they can get this down to the last two games. However history tells us they peak and dip, peak and dip. Maguire out will hurt them bady v Vardy Iheanacho and Salah Jota and Mane.

No cause for alarm. If the rags beat Leicester tomorrow, which they probably will, the top four is on again for the dippers who therefore will not lack motivation at old toilet on Thursday against a by then tired United. Even so to worry that we cannot manage 3 (or realistically 2) points from the last three games is morbid Cityitis. I am lucky that my Cityitis is merely Acute hence this upbeat post.

I personally thinks that makes the games easier as they have no real reason to be 100% up for it. Their players are also less likely to go flying into desperate challenges which reduces the risk of any of our players getting injured.
