How much do you earn ?

£15,530 - 23, not married, ended up having to move back into the parents as after my rent and bills I had nothing else to play with, so thought fuck it.

Work for the DWP/Jobcentre Plus. It's a fucking joke.

;)

13-14k (embarassing comparing to most of you guys!)

it`s full time and not a minimum wage (it`s not a factory, no cleaning, no washing pots etc.)
not getting any benefits at all, renting flat from agency (£475 plus £150 council tax- South Lanarkshire, plus bills of course), thanks God i go flatmate to share costs! About £100 a month for commuting.
No way I can afford living by myself, no way of saving up for mortgage deposit but tbh I`m not convinced to seetle for live here yet- but that can come at any moment ;)
but it`s still a decent quality of living i must say- holidays at least twice every year (visiting homeland couple of times a year not to mention), I don`t have to borrow money, do not have save on food or anything, got plasma, two laptops, playstation, mobiles, loads of books, dvds (and still spending on it) and stuff like that :)
But no savings tbh and a little minus on credit card.
but I`m single and that makes a difference i think, no way I could start a family with the income like this.
80-90% of my money I spend in Britain.

I think I crushed some myths about Polish workers taking over best british jobs, don`t ya think? :)

And now tell me, honestly, how many of your unemployed English friends would take the job like this?

top post.

5 years ago, I earned £18750 per year.

Today, I still earn £18750 per year.

Now, while I appreciate that sum is better than somebody who earns a minimun wage, but the fact of the matter is, I am worse off today than I was 5 years ago.

Round our way (East Anglia) the average wage is £23k per annum.

I just about afford to pay my bills/debts, but my disposable income is pretty much non existant.

I realise now, that I should have done better at school!! (I'm 41 now btw!!)

well once upon a time I earned more than anyone has mentioned on here bar one

but now i earn less than most of you after being made redundant a while back

Now I spend more time with the family and living life and I am probably the happiest I have been

plus the taxman can feck off

work to live
don't live to work

no-one lies on their death bed and says god i wish i'd worked more

Not enough, it never is.

Without giving too much away, my rent when converted to Sterling for a 1 bedroom apartment in a trendy suburb of Zurich is over £17,000pa!

Enough to allow me to go to see City home and away and take my daughter

I like to make a day of it, drink, bite to eat but you only live once and City is my main passion with skiing second

Just hope I'll still have enough cash to be going when I pack in work!
