How the Holocaust Began

There's a lot of things about the Holocaust not widely known.
The fact that the vast majority of the victims were dead by the end of 1943. The fact that Rumania murdered hundreds of thousands of Jews themselves.
If you read books about it like Martin Gilbert's or David Cesarani's you realise it was even worse than you thought.
I don't think humanity will ever recover from it completely.
Lots of historical genocidal atrocities aren’t as widely known as they might or should be.

Turkey still deny to this day they’re attempted and started but thankfully halted genocide of Armenians.

Is there a best book on those events? Some will be more “factual”, others more “prosaic”. Who could ever truly depict such horror? Who could truly depict “the” horror (such was its magnitude)? One book (and there are many) that paints it in all its hideous glory:

I read about a half dozen of his books in my late teens/early 20's including the drowned and the saved which he wrote not long before his death. His death was recorded as suicide but this is disputed, however even if it was it would be much better recorded as a murder, he managed to survive long enough to create a body of work that is required reading.

why were jews persecuted even in medieval times , what have the jews done to get persecuted throughout the centuries

edit , just found this.

blood libel, also called blood accusation, the superstitious accusation that Jews ritually sacrifice Christian children at Passover to obtain blood for unleavened bread. It first emerged in medieval Europe in the 12th century and was revived sporadically in eastern and central Europe throughout the medieval and modern periods, often leading to the persecution of Jews.

There is also a much more base reasons for their persecution. A lot of Jews came over from France with the Norman invasion and encouraged to starts businesses. Kings used the Jews to finance their wars and simply wrote off their indebtedness by murdering their creditors.

Ursury, lending money and charging interest, was deigned sinful by the Church as early as the 4th century - for example at the Council of Nicea when the Nicene creed was agreed. So people turned to the Jewish business community when they wanted a loan, but resented being in debt to infidels. It has stained society's view of Jewish people fo centuries, try reading The Merchant of Venice and a lot of the anti Jewish conspiracy theories and tropes come from this.
