How times change

I got the same in Tunisia last summer. The hotel staff took great pleasure in telling one holidaying rag that city were the only team in Manchester haha

Girl at work yesterday...first day on new job at brand new place...goes where are you from? Manchester..oh..are you a Man City fan or a Man United fan????

The VAST majority of Yanks still know f all about footy and City, but know all about the Rags (well the name at least, and about the Bucs owners maybe owning them), so it was lovely to hear City come out her sweet lips first!!

Everywhere we go now people recognise the badge, the shirt, the names on the back, the flag on the wall, the players in the Euro;s (i.e Mario and David) and so on...

love these threads...bring all them on board from all corners, fuck it.

thinking of going to mexico this year mate, anychance of some tips of where to go, food, etc

cheers bud

Go to (Ciudad) Juarez mate!!!! Take a camera, a big knockoff touristy hat, loadsa cash, and get pissed up and take the piss out of Hispanic people at a bar.

Would be fun to film.

Nah a few sensible tips...skip Cancun since it's full of pissed up twat American high school grads and shite street food and alcohol that can literally kill you.

Drink bottled water only.

Dont use ice machines either....^^

Anywhere within range of a U.S border is GOING TO BE a complete shit hole too, and unless you are into Mexican history and big cities, i.e THE BIGGEST ON EARTH, you might not wanna bother with Mexico City either.

I have been twice, and to be fair, it's a proper shithole (although im sure some coastlines and some of the interior have great sights to see). Humble people for the most part, and an experience (they love their footy too), but unless you've already booked, go to Central or South America instead where the culture is very different and there is lots more to see and do.

PLaya Del Carmen is very nice mate and you can get sorted with some pure white every ten yards if that's your thing.

Very pretty too, white sands, blue/green sea. Cancun is like Benidorm but for Yanks.

Isn't Mexico North America?

Just saying like

Central or Latin.

It is N. America and part of NAFTA evidently. Latino/hispanic population in North America...bit like U.S.A is quickly becoming!!

And Israel is in the Eurovision Song Contest. That said, I've checked online and I was wrong, it is in North America.

Sorry BB85.

When I tour the commonwealth later this summer wearing god's own colours (with a black badge), I expect to be raised head high and carried by cheering natives from the airstrip to my suite before being laid on a bed of petals and offered the king's virgin daughters for gratification.....

You're off to Grimsby, then?

I was in Mallorca a couple of weeks ago and I saw 2 rag shirts the whole week which includes the airport, beach and hotel. There were 6/7 city towels and shirts in just the hotel alone. This was the first time I can ever remember seeing so many blues abroad. Even the hotel workers who saw my shirt were like "oooh city" with a thumbs up. As they say, how times change .....
