Ok but you guys get the main point which is that City and not United is first thing they say.
As you say it's a big turnaround. Me and my mate got a boat from Istanbul to Odessa in 2007 and when he was checking our passports the Ukrainian guy looked at our birthplace in our passports and said "Oh, you are both from Manchester United, yes?"

Not any more!

Central or Latin.

It is N. America and part of NAFTA evidently. Latino/hispanic population in North America...bit like U.S.A is quickly becoming!!

And Israel is in the Eurovision Song Contest. That said, I've checked online and I was wrong, it is in North America.

Sorry BB85.

Latin America encompasses Mexico too surely, hence the 'latin' part.

I'm currently away in Mexico on holiday and every time a waiter or street vendor talks to me it is always the same thing.

Them: Are you from England?
Me: Yes Manchester
Them: Manchester City?? Silva, Aguero! Champions!
Me: Yep, thats the one.

Not a single Mexican has mentioned Utd to me. By all accounts when talking to them after, we are considered the team to watch in Latin America.

Who would have thought that just 4 years ago?

Very difficult to believe ....

the out-of-touch rags reckon no-one's heard of us past Lands End!

(Ps .....i spent a few days in Lithuania recently ... and those i spoke to about football were all very much aware of us)
