How to play against Barcelona?

Might as well let them pass the ball all they want, as it's not very likely we can beat them at the style they invented and mastered.
In that case, Kun has nothing to do in that team, and btw, what Jovetic. In all fairness, he is yet to prove himself. Our chances are counters, breaks and high balls. So I would play 1 up front (Negredo), with instructions to the team to keep pressing, and would certainly practice those offside traps a bit more.

I'm not worried about beating them at home, I'm only worried about not doing enough at home because they are like us at the Nou Camp, they are averaging 3.40 goals a game there. We have to do the business at home and completely batter them there is no question, at their place it will be down to just keeping what we have and making sure we at have least score 1 to ensure we have an away goal unless we beat them something ridiculous.... Anything could happen and we showed at Bayern that we can get results away, our away form is the best in the league at the moment too.

Team wise I think we are superior, they have some great, tricky players but they are all the same and all have the same weaknesses in being lightweight and not the greatest defensively, the beast, Yaya and our muscle type players will have a field day against their defence providing we actually get hold of the ball. The only players I see really hurting us are obviously Messi who could tear us to shreds on that display against Watford and obviously the influence of Iniesta, anyone else we can match fairly well. I'm more worried as well that the Chelsea FA Cup game might be a huge distraction because they don't play their tie that week so will have extra rest. It really isn't ideal but we are at home and that week will be the biggest test of our squad this season.

Sit back, defend in numbers, hit them on the counter. There's no other way.

No you attack xavi and inesta.
tactically or Thatcher style? :)

As i mentioned before.. I didn't relies that milner is suspended. but regardless the way you beat Barcelona is to kill the 2 key linchpin players xavi and inesta they are the teams actual defenders by holding the ball the whole time. they are old and slower then before you need to man mark then narrow the angles and force passes that you can anticipate once u get the ball fling to to navas and hit on the counter. its something we do in basketball you give him one side force him to go their and trap the possible passing spaces. xavi and inesta dont track back and defend so they will be open and we can pretty much score on command. sitting back and just defending will pretty much be counter productive since they have a shit defense and thats what they want you to do pass and defend the ball to death.

Iniesta is 29, probably right in the prime of his career and life.

That is one way to try and hinder them, though. I agree.

It's about narrowing and forcing the player to make mistakes (even though inesta and xavi are masters at passing and control). you will be able to eventually force a mistake when u have players like fernan closing down and giving 0 space.. and yaya could do this also (but i doubt he will) thats why i suggested milner and fernan in the middle of the park just doing man marking. But ye maybe for the 2nd leg.
