Great work but for simple folk like who hand over 12 months paperwork & stares blankly when doing a tax return it all goes over my head.

All I know is accountancy seems to be a form of witch craft & the people slagging City off seem to think a “ducking stool” will find the answer.

The media rather believe the stolen emails than the actual facts says it all really! Majority of Media full of jealous bitter supporters of other clubs who can’t or don’t want to see it.

Digested an excellent piece, I think you're preaching to the converted though.

It'd be nice if even Brennan printed it in the local rag to get it to a slightly wider audience but certainly the national raggy media hoards will ignore this sort of stuff and stick to oil money/owned by a country/cooking the books etc.

Good read and i must say fantastic effort, well done Colin. That alleged email of khaldoon talking about suing UEFA makes more sense in light of this article.

I've finally got round to writing this definitive piece on the above, having been accused by a certain journalist of bullshitting and producing no proof about this.

It's very long (over 3.5k words) and goes into quite a bit of detail but it was the only way to prove beyond doubt what happened in 2013 and (to tie in with the Der Spiegel Football Leaks story) why we were so keen to get an extra few million onto the books. I'd be grateful for any feedback.

What if, just what if, the powers that be didn't think we'd have a cat in hells chance of passing even the upgraded regulations, and when they realised we got so close they informed their paymasters (bundesliga champions, English ex champions etc) who then passed down the message "thou shall not pass"

The emails actually supported my case but I still can't believe that none of these highly paid journalists seemed to have asked questions at the time the sanctions were imposed. Or maybe they did and City were precluded from talking about it under the terms of the settlement. But there are ways of getting things out there. But none of them seem to have asked the question again in light of the leaks, such as why were so worried about this £9.9m when our aggregate losses were £150m.

Everyone knows exactly what and why FFP was set/beefed up but it suits everyone we upset by being a power to spout the lies. I wish someone would challenge it in court and smash it to smithereens.
