How was your trip

Great trip, full of highs and lows.

Mate getting phone nicked a low, rest all highs, pic taken with Tommy booth, on the lash 2 days, met some cracking blues, chat with De Niro in the square in early hours this morning. Just back in London now, only eaten a McDonald's since Tuesday morning, in my local weatherspoons for biggest, dirtiest, greasiest fry they have and copious amounts of cider

Yea I've had a few comments from people saying they've had phones/wallets n that stolen over there.
Haven't been obvious either, with one lad within a split-second having his smartphone taken... Whoever stole it was long gone before he had realised :(

Anyway, here's some pics.

Still here but on the coast home tomorrow, warm but windy today had a great few days.keep saying to the locals see you next year

Majority of City fans were great last night and atmosphere in bars near entrance 21 was brilliant. But I have a few criticisms:

Why does nobody sit down at away games?- the bloke next to me with a walking stick was having some problems standing for 90 mins. We used to criticise Utd fans for exactly this behaviour.

Much more importantly Why when a significant number of lowlife were throwing coins at the home fans over the netting do most City fans turn a blind eye and pretend its not happening - and it was , often. And I was in block 535 and they were coming from near the back

Didn't enjoy the Hillsborough /80's style of leaving the ground

To the City fan trying to start a fight with other City fans on the Diagonal after the game - why bother ? You ruin our reputation abroad.

To the bloke they thinks Mangala is the answer to our problems - lol- we will just have to agree to disagree.

"You're just a shit Crystal Palace" funniest song in the night as Messi was pulling us apart.

Great great trip which wasn’t really fucked up by the game because it was exactly what I expected - outplayed by a better team in a game we had no chance in because we are leaderless at all levels.

Anyway, enough of the football - stayed at the W which was great with the added bonus that the team were staying there. Went to a great restaurant on Tuesday night which charged buttons for what we got then ended up in the ‘Eclipse’ nightclub at the hotel. It was ‘ladies night’, so full of fit young Spanish birds all about the age of my youngest daughter. Some of the ‘back room’ staff from the club ended up there and it turned into a great night.

Bar crawl on Wednesday ahead of the game, had a lovely moment watching a pickpocket get kicked to a pulp by three blokes (not sure if they were football fans or not, but the shaven headed slightly over weight middle aged bloke look suggests that they were).

The game was predictable, but all in all, great trip.

Great trip with Bredbury Blues, apart from the result and the disgusting behaviour of City fans throwing coins during the game and Spanish Plod after the final whistle no lows at all (mainly because I was sooooooooooo pissed on the Tuesday).

Had a brilliant day (if you ignore the result). And had the added bonus of landing at Manchester this time instead of being diverted to bloody Newcastle. With the fog taking when taking off yesterday morning I feared the worst again.

+ Don't know if anyone knows the lads who did the Tommy Booth song and sang it to him in front of that bar in the square, but that was absolutely tops lads. And Tommy took it brilliantly. Tommy was also superb with all the fans who went up shaking his hand, asking for pics. Nothing seemed like it was a problem for him and he chatted to everyone who went up to him.

Was sat next to Tommy (and Gary Owen) on the flight on the way home this afternoon.

First time I'd ever spoke to him, but a really decent down to earth bloke. Had a good chat about football past & present. If we have any IOW blues on here, he was very complimentary about his recent visit to the place.

Have to say he's right on most counts though. I was in 535 and the two young dickheads who were throwing coins over the netting from about 3 or 4 rows in front of me were in rows 26 or 27 but only turned up there at half time. To the guy two seats up from me who decided to try and find his mates at half time, he didn't know if he was staying in Barca or elsewhere but asked 'If i give my hotel card to a taxi driver, do you think he will take me back' i wondered how much his journey cost.
