How will City do ....according to the Mirror experts (LOL)

How often do all three promoted teams go down. Most of the 'experts' predict all 3 to go straight down every year, probably because it's easy, without bothering to look in any detail at their squad, budget or signings.

FA Cup: United
League Cup: Liverpool
Champions League: Byern (City semi finals)
 
I am quite suprised how many picked Bayern Munich to win the CL again, no team hvs ever won back to back in the CL era and I still see it staying that way for a few more years.

The current Bayern team is unreal but I personally think the Barcelona team of 09 were better than them, even they could not win it back to back and people say they were the greatest club side ever.

Championship: Reading (Bolton promoted)

Don't see anything wrong with that. Chelsea have underperformed for years considering the squad they have, which they'll most likely be adding to, they'll have a top manager who knows the Premier League, meanwhile his rivals both have new managers as well neither of whom has ever won anything in over ten years of management in European football, and one of whom has never even worked in English football. Those are good reasons to predict a Chelsea title. I'm certainly not anticipating a City title win this year.
 
Transfer market not even in full swing, and already the predictions. Mirror is merely the source of their information (i.e., "I just made that shit up" is my source).
 
Given our squad and acquisitions to date, I'm surprised how few picked us for Cup successes. Mourinho seems to be expected to settle in better than Moyes and Pellers too?? I don't think it will be as easy for him this time around.

No idea on CL, don't think it'll be a team from England. Bayern is a decent prediction though. Already made good signings to their squad. Real Madrid is wild card, Barca's defense is still poor, not really sure on Enlglish or Italian teams (Juve probably going to do well). For PL though, with the additions we are making this summer, I see no reason why we can't win back the PL title!
 
Often journos start the season tipping a new league winner. Its more hope than expectation, as it will give them something different to write about. The last thing they want is a re-run of the previous season. And they think it makes them appear to have a greater insight, not going for the obvious.

Looking at those predictions, United have more cause to feel badly done to than City.
 
The title will be between city and Chelsea. Utd will have to fend off arsenal for 3rd. The rags know this by appointing gollum. They do so in the hope in a couple seasons he makes his mark.
