How would you assess Rodri's season?

You think everyone is shite though. Wasn't that long ago you were saying Walker should never play again, Sterling should be sold if an offer came in and devoted a podcast to saying Jesus needed to "get in the bin".
 
Spanish jack rodwell, but without the injuries. If he doesn't kick on next season I'll be glad to see the back of him along with gundogan slooooowwwwwwing down the midfield

I vented on him on his thread at the weekend which I regret.

He's not a bad player, just isn't suited to the Fernandinho role which our side needed last season.

He is an excellent passer of the ball, hope Pep finds a way to properly utilise him.

Yeah, his lack of pace is worrying. Surprising slow and gets bypassed sometimes too easily.
 
He is a ball playing central defender in a back 3 but no one has realised it yet. Pep almost did then didn’t revisit the idea for some reason. A bit like David Luiz would have been a great CDM if he had been coached in that position.
 
Without reading anybody else's posts, he's clearly a very good player, there's no question of that, and he most defintely has the ability to hold a role in this squad, but he doesn't possess the quick feet, acceleration/speed to cover the ground necessary for our team in front of the back four for me, it's a bit like putting Glenn Hoddle as a defensive midfielder .
 
Had a few excellent games, Burnley away was near perfection, but overall pretty meh tbh.

He'll need to improve pretty quickly, esp. on his passing as it's not progressive or quick enough and too many of his chipped balls to the wing fail to reach the target, otherwise I'd be considering moving him to CB
