Never nice to get beat but it’s one I can live with another day luck may have gone our way. We’ve come along way. Look at how the celebrated we are by no means a bad team or easy to beat. The fact remains we are still the best team in Europe even at %80.

They should have the penalty shoot out before the second game when the players are fresh. The result of that would only count if the tie ends in a draw after extra time.
Make whoever lost it go for the outright win.
May as well toss a coin before the second game.

Gutted but upbeat.
Someone told me today that our Champions League record for the last two seasons is Won 16 Drawn 7 Lost 0. (If you include last night as a drawn match).
Not bad seeing as its the toughest football comp in the world.

Not too sad about it. Without getting too much into the performance it just felt like nothing was going for us and it wasn’t to be. Not the end of the world and we move on. Desperate for the League now though

I generally agree with this viewpoint. I think we had to win the CL at some point and we did. But it is a cup competition, just with more games than the FA Cup and League Cup.Losing in the CL doesn't bother me a quarter as much as losing one in the PL.

If we win these last six league games then we are in a league of our own.
